The Bushwick Collective street art community was founded by Bushwick native Joe Ficalora, who helped to bring together building owners and street artists to create blocks and blocks of eye-catching art, as a way of keeping this historic neighborhood on the map.
Over the course of the tour, we will discuss the fascinating history of this changing Brooklyn neighborhood, and it how it has become a haven for some of the country's most famous street artists. You will see dozens of unique pieces & murals along the tour, as well as learn about how the art has become a part of the debate over gentrification in central Brooklyn.
