Experience New York like a real New Yorker on this private tour using subways and buses to get around. Learn to navigate the city the way most New Yorkers do. Get a great orientation and overview for the rest of your stay. Visit some of the major sights, attractions and neighborhoods, along with off the beaten path places. Discover from the beginning where you would like to go back and spend more time, during your visit. Learn the short-cuts and secrets (maybe new just yesterday!) only known to locals.
Your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your Manhattan hotel at 9:00am. Together, you will discuss your itinerary for the day and off you will go to enjoy your adventure.
The guide will assist you with purchasing subway/bus passes and instructing you on their use. The passes are not included in the cost of the tour (approximately $15 additional per person).
The sights available for you to select for your tour itinerary include: Central Park; Saint Patrick's Cathedral; Rockefeller Center; Times Square; New York Public Library and Bryant Park; Grand Central Terminal; Madison Square Park for views of the Flat Iron and Empire State Buildings; High Line Park and Chelsea Market; Greenwich Village; SOHO; Chinatown; Little Italy; World Trade and 9/11 Memorial; Wall Street; Statue of Liberty from Shore and Brooklyn Bridge. None of these sights require an admission fee. On your 9-hour tour, allowing time for lunch (not included in the cost of the tour), you will be able to visit 11 of the above sights. If you are interested in visiting all the sights as part of a tour, you can reserve this 9-hour tour for one day along with a 5-hour for a separate day or, perhaps, three 5-hour tours for three separate days
You are welcome to prearrange with us before the day of your tour any Manhattan sights to include on your itinerary that are not listed above.
At the end of the tour, your guide will take you to the Manhattan location of your choice - back to your hotel, a museum, store, etc.
