The July 13th & 14th rehearsal dates will be held in  Chicago at the Palmer House.  We want everyone prepared for our professional fashion show.  These two back to back rehearsals will feature industry professionals teaching you to walk: model scout, model agency, top models (which lasts for 5 hours plus a lunch break each day). To help the charity we do charge a very small $20 model fee to help our non profit cover the costs of the: facility, lunch/food, and coaching for the 5 hour July training per day. Models can bring payment or purchase online that day or prior to that day. There will be a short mandatory rehearsal on show day in the venue held Tuesday, September 10, 2019 on World Suicide Prevention Day. Model Fittings will most likely occur during show day but if you live local to your designer they may ask you to come in for an alterntive fitting date as they prepare for this major show.  If you book several designers you could be at fittings throughout the entire day. Therefore, we recommend ALL MODELS participating in the show to BLOCK out the day before for arrival and to stay at least until Wednesday. Other models will stay all week long to try and book other New York Fashion Week shows and to go on go-sees with agencies. We recommend you to stay near the venue (a hotel nearby) so you are ready for the September 10, 2019 show. Another more affordable option is to stay in hotels in Long Beach Island that are close to La Quardia airport, then take the subway 45 mins to 1 hour into the show.  *Please note some designers will require other dates for fittings so you must attend those should you be selected as a model in our event.  MANDATORY MODEL FITTING & OPTIONAL New York Model Boot CampTuesday, September 10th, 2019 (this applies to every single model in the show and is MANDATORY)*Call times depends on designer(s). For nearly a century, absinthe was an illegal substance in America and most of the world, blamed for everything from hallucinations and delirium to even violent rampages. Faces in Between and One Warm Blanket are joining forces with Flywheel for the “Spread the Love” campaign in 2019! Through the month of January and February, we will be collecting new or gently used and washed blankets to distribute to our neighbors experiencing homelessness here in the city at every NYC Flywheel studio. Join us as we culminate our efforts with an exciting party and charity ride taught by NYC and Fly On Demand Flywheel instructor Kyle Axman, where we will raise money for Faces in Between and One Warm Blanket so that they can continue to do their incredible work! After the ride, attendees will have the option to assist with blanket distribution as well! Can't make the ride? The response and support has been incredibly rewarding as many will be warmer this holiday season as a result of so many generous donations. One Warm Blanket has since expanded to Denver and Virginia with the same mission in mind, to spread the warmth this holiday season to people in need.

This course covering laws in BOTH New York and New Jersey will be held in the Newark area on March 9th, 2019!Hilton Newark Airport1170 Spring StreetElizabeth, NJ 07201 Itinerary This is a Professional Training Course to teach you what you need to know about cannabis and your state’s Cannabis Laws so that you can apply to work in a Medical Marijuana Dispensary. You will be working with cardholders in this position and must understand the medication before you start assisting others. The material is presented in a fast paced, 4 hour course with a summary exam at the end to get your certificate of completion. The goal of this class to help you understand the industry and the medication which will help boost your resume with the knowledge you need to speak intelligently when you land that interview for an opening at a dispensary in the near future. For those with no legal experience to put on a resume, training increases your chances of getting a job in the medical marijuana industry! On average, a Marijuana business owner gets over 200 resumes for every opening they post. With this training on your resume – you WILL stand out from the crowd! In New Jersey, physicians determine how much marijuana a patient needs and give written instructions to be presented to an alternative treatment center. The maximum amount for a 30-day period is two ounces. Approved Conditions include Seizure disorder, including epilepsy, intractable skeletal muscular spasticity, glaucoma; severe or chronic pain, severe nausea or vomiting, cachexia, or wasting syndrome resulting from HIV/AIDS or cancer; amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, terminal cancer, muscular dystrophy, or inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease; terminal illness. It also allows edible forms of marijuana only for qualifying minors, who must receive approval from a pediatrician and a psychiatrist. As of Apr. 23, 2014, there were Alternative Treatment Centers with permits to operate in all three regions of the state as designated by the medical marijuana program: north, central, and south. Marijuana legalization was definitely on the minds of New Jersey’s lawmakers as they began their 2018 session. Sen. Nicholas Scutari and Asm. Reed Gusciora, who have been leaders on this issue, have reintroduced SB 830 / AB 1348, which would tax and regulate marijuana for adults 21 and over. In addition, Asm. Gusciora has introduced A 3581, which unlike Sen. Scutari’s bill would allow home cultivation, but would put a low cap on the number of grower/processors licensed in the state. Gov. Phil Murphy campaigned on a promise to legalize marijuana, emphasizing the need to address the harms caused by prohibition. He recently included revenues from marijuana taxes in his budget and called on lawmakers to pass a bill this year. Stephen Sweeney, the Senate President, has repeatedly expressed his support as well. The details of a final bill are expected to be the subject of extensive debate. Unfortunately, the opposition has already begun raising the same old fears, ignoring the years of data on the successes of the first states to end prohibition, Colorado and Washington. Gov. Phil Murphy said in a statement on June 16th that New Jersey is looking to double its amount of medical marijuana dispensaries, as the state is requesting applications for six new dispensaries.
