Come and pretend you're in New York to ring in the New Year! In this class we'll be celebrating with our New York favorites. Also we'll be sharing lots of Professional Chef tips and tricks to make your cooking more professional. Come and learn the our our favorites while cooking a full meal to share.

Equipment needed: All kitchen equipment, knives, aprons, food, spices and herbs are provided. This is an immersion, hands-on class and you will be on your feet most of the class.
Time: Class is 3 hours long. Depending on the menu and the flow, some classes are shorter and others can go longer. Clean-up is done by the kitchen assistants, so you will leave after sharing the meal you’ve created with the Chef, kitchen assistants and your fellow students.
Materials: Recipe packets are provided for you to use in class and take home with you.
Class size: Class size depends on the nature of the class and instruction.
Who will be the Chef Instructor? We have a very talented group of Chef Instructors teaching at The Cooking Studio who also work at local restaurants or are teaching at Professional Culinary Schools, own catering businesses or working as Personal Chefs.
All Chef Instructors are highly skilled in their topic area and bring that skill, passion and personality to class.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is available in the parking garage directly behind The Opera Galleria. The cost is $1/hour. If you prefer it, the MAX stop is just a block away.
Please don’t park on the street as the parking limit is 2 hours and classes will typically run 3hrs or more.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? You don’t need to bring anything to the class.
What is the cancellation policy?
Class registrations are non-refundable. However, if you can’t attend we will try to help you transfer your registration to another class. It's important to our staffing and resources that we do this 3 days before the class you planned to attend. If it is less than 3 days before the class you are welcome to give or resell the class to a friend or family member. Sorry, but missed classes can’t be made up.
It is very rare for us to cancel classes due to weather, but we’ll email you if that should happen.
What is the refund policy?
We require a minimum of 6 students per class. If less than 6 students are registered then class will be cancelled due to low enrollments and you will be notified by email. Refunds will be issued for all cancelled classes.
What if there is a waitlist?
If the class you want to register for is full, please add your name to the waitlist and we’ll email you if an opening comes available. We may decide to add an additional session to satisfy demand so you’ll want to be sure we have your best contact information. You don’t need to pay when putting your name on the waitlist, you can pay when there is an opening and you register for the class.
What about wine and beer?
Wine and beer are available for purchase during class, but of course you must be 21yrs or older to be served.

Learn to perform Botox injections and other aesthetic procedures during Empire Medical Training's weekend training programs. For your convenience, we have scheduled the Complete Botox Training, the Dermal Filler and Facial Aesthetics workshops on consecutive days over a weekend. These educational courses are the very basis for every aesthetics practice.
Overview: The Botox Training workshop is very complete and all inclusive and created so that you can immediately begin performing these techniques on your own. The general format of the workshop is to receive very detailed lectures in the morning followed by intensive hands on training in the afternoon.
The workshop gives you the opportunity to use real Botulinum Toxin products on actual live volunteers. In fact, a good percentage of your tuition is used to purchase these supplies as well as all the medicines you will be using. Attendees are also welcome to bring along a friend or companion if you choose to use them for your injections. (Why not, they are receiving FREE injections. We never charge our volunteers).
Workshop Topics: You will learn all the protocols associated with each of the Botulinum Toxin Type A products such as Botox Cosmetic as well as the newer, highly effective Xeomin and Dysport products. To operate a successful aesthetic practice it is important to know about and be able to utilize the different products your patients may ask for. Each will be available and used during the hands on portion of the class so you can decide on your own which Botulinum product will best suit your practice objectives.
Comprehensive Training and Certification: This is a certification program intended only for Physicians and qualified health care practitioners. After completion of the course and demonstration of proficiency, you will receive your certification and course certificate. Attendees also have the option to receive their certificate framed in an attractive wood and metal plaque.

Advocacy 101 is a course that gives an overview of policymaking at the state legislative and municipal levels of government. The course illustrates basic forms of advocacy as well how to effectively communicate with elected officials and policy makers. The companion course Fundraising for Advocates gives instruction on essential fundraising skills needed for advocates.
Fundraising for Advocates is a companion course to our Advocacy 101 course. This course gives instruction on fundraising for advocacy organizations, issue campaigns and non-profit service organizations. The course curriculum covers fundraising best practices, donor identification and cultivation, grant research, and grant writing.
Exploring Careers in Advocacy explores the number of professional career opportunities for women in the advocacy arena and outlines the steps one takes to make the transition to being a professional advocate.

Is the registration fee refundable?
The registration fee is non-refundable unless the organizer cancels the session. If a participant is unable to attend a session a credit will be placed on file that may be used at any time for a future program. The credit does not expire.
Is this a partisan program or supported by a political party? Are scholarships available?
The Political Institute for Women is an independent organization that is self-funded through the fees generated from hosting sessions. Financial aid is available on a first come, first serve basis. Email [email protected] to for all financial aid inquiries.
Who are our instructors?
Our Lead Instructors are women that currently or have previously worked in government or electoral politics. The majority of our Lead Instructors are currently working as staff for members of the United States Congress and teach for our organization part-time.
